To answer this question I can use the chocolate cake equation: the best chocolate is to a top cusine chocolate cake as the most cutting edge technology is to a multidisciplinary coherent strategy to approach any kind design, moreover this applies to the “store of the future”.
2. What’s your take on mall construction and management when we say “Sustainability is becoming a non-negotiable”?
It’s very simple: sustainability is no more a matter of responsibility to go back to how things have been working harmonically since long before we showed up on the planet, it’s becoming an instinct of urgency. Whoever today uses sustainability as a marketing tool for an economical agenda is doing a bad service to humanity. A sustainable action has no counter effect.
3. Share your thoughts on “Vision 2030” in terms of mall management.
Vision 2030 enlists the basic concepts for any kind of management approach, since it describes the very principles to ensure success to every new action. Because it reflects what the human beings and the society need to thrive.
4. What’s the biggest challenge you see for customer experience when aligning their expectations with your transformation?
I believe the most technological design approach is the one aligned with the natural way all things work. More and more people feel the natural essence of a concept proposal and they immediately perceive the difference when comparing with artificiality. The real challenge is to stay true to this principle.
5. How would you think attendees will benefit by attending MENA MALL SUMMIT?
It would be a chance to finally discuss and accept that the priority is creating an urban-like space (the mall) where feeling good (perception) is prior to the spending rush based on trends (thinking). By missing this essential goal, every strategic effort may realistically turn into a short term failure
